| Missing cleaner shrimp I bought a second cleaner about two weeks ago. A day or two later, I saw what looked like the molted skin from one of the two. Ever since then I have seen only one shrimp. At first I figured the second was hiding until his shell hardened, but now I'm starting to wonder.
Anybody have a similar experience? I checked for ammonia this morning and had none. The rest of my parms looked good two days ago:

It is still there.
They like to hide out a while after molting...waiting for new shell to harden up.

Do you have any crabs? I came home to my Sally Lightfoot snacking on my cleaner last week after a molt. Guess he picked the wrong cave to chill in.

I have an anemone crab and hermits, but I don't think he's the culprit.
I still like the hiding theory (wishfull thinking) |
