Default Long tentacle anemone HELP!

My saga with my long tentacle anemone continues. Today he decided to "let go" or move and got sucked up against my filter intake. It has really small openings so he wasnt damaged that I could tell. When I pulled him off the intake I place him in a front corner of the tank so he wouldn't be near the filter. Well, I come back like an hour later and he is right back in the same place he was attached before. Directly under the filter return. I let him be, because he seemed happy there for a few weeks until today. I come back again in an hour and he is stuck to the filter intake again! This is becoming annoying and probably not healthy for my anemone. Help!

All just part of being an anemone keeper.

either cover the intake with foam pads or trade in the anemone.

When I originally bought my LTA, I was told they were one of the easiest anemones to take care of (aside from BTA's). So, very, wrong. Even after the bit of reading I did, I wasn't prepared for what was to come. Fact is, is that LTA's not only enjoy staying on the sand, but they like to burrow their foot 4 or more inches into the sand. Which essentially means that you need to have a DSB of 4 inches or more. My sand bed is at most 2 inches. So I tried everything from rearranging rock position to using small pieces of PVC tubing to try and create a "foothole" for it to sit its foot in so that it feels secure on all sides- which is essentially the goal they are trying to reach. This was all a no go. After 2 months, my LTA still likes to float around my tank and clobber all my corals. On top of this, I now have a cleaner shrimp that is suicidal enough to jump right into the LTA (this LTA is 8+ inches in diameter) and dig out pieces of shrimp when I try to feed the LTA.

In conclusion... Anyone want a LTA? (Free to good home + good tank - seriously).
