Yup, JC is right. Mine sat on top of my LR for two weeks then sauntered down to his little cave. It's fun watching him stretch out towards the light.

Yours will get there.

Well,

The anemone has now buried itself into my sand bed and has attached to the bottom glass. I know this because I just reached in the tank to try and scoop him from the sand (not knowing he was attached to the bottom) and when I first touched it a few times he sucked in and nearly disappeared.. so I dug down to the bottom beside him and slowly creped over only to feel his foot flush with the glass. Now I don't know what to do, he's back out again, not as open but doesn't seem too hurt from my touching him a few times, just seems a little angry. He's in the back of the tank and right behind a piece of live rock so you can't see him at all unless you try hard looking from the sides. He literally picked to worst place in the tank, for visual purposes anyway.

Any suggestions? With the power-head idea... how hard should the water be hitting him? Direct violent flow or how should I try that? I really really would like to see him move from that area, anywhere is better then where he is now, but I don't want to damage or kill him. Even if he moves from the bottom to a piece of rock, that'd be much better, but right now he is where I'd never be able to move him

Any advise is appretiated!!

I'd leave him be for now. As far as flow it, the tentacles should be swaying, but you don't want it to look like the inflatable flapping tube man you see at the car dealer. Swirling tentacles is nice. Like this...

He is directly behind a piece of live rock but there is no live rock above him. He basically moved from the front of the tank to the back one night, dug down and attached to the bottom glass, and has been there ever since. He gets direct light also, I tried to shade that area but it's directly in the middle of my tank and I could figure out a way to shade the middle without shading just about everywhere else. Very frustrating, not sure how to change his mind, I might just move my power-head over and have it blast him pretty good so he gets angry and moves. I read that blasting their foot makes them move but he's under 3 inch of sand and attached to the bottom, so I'm hoping that simply blasting his tentacle makes him angry.

He's back out in full today though, and looks beautiful. So I know that my encounter with him yesterday did no harm, but I'm still not going to give up until I get him moved to the front of the tank and happy there .

rearrange the rockwork around him instead - if thats where he is happy you wont be getting him to move that easily - altho i have been told that ice works well

Ice on the foot? because thats the part thats hardest to get too, I've got a power-head on him now, so hopefully he gets angry and moves.
