| Re: Linckia Stars They can be hard to keep fed. They are oportunistic scavengers, so unless you tend to overfeed, they often starve. (It's a very slow wasting away ... they kind of shrink, then fall apart.) Of course, if you are dedicated, you can target feed them from time to time. _________ -Mickey 175g Bowfront - 75g Refugium - 100g Sump - 3 Phoenix 14k 250W MH - AquaC EV240 Skimmer - 240lbs Haitian Live Rock - 4" DSB - Red Velvet Fairy Wrasse - Azure Damsel - Banggia Cardinal - Firefish Goby - Blackcap Basslet - Purple Tang - Powder Brown Tang - Regal Tang - Green Manderin - 2 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp - 2 Peppermint Shrimp - 2 Emerald Crabs - Rose BTA - Orange Linkia - Tuxedo Urchin - Spiney Urchin (hitchhiker) |

I have never seen my blue linkia eat meats so I doubt that's part of their diet but you never know. They really only do well in very mature tanks. |

| Re: Linckia Stars I've had my linkia for about a year now but killed at least 4 when I tried to keep them before my tank was "mature".
If your sand sifting star died, it's probably because it ran out of food or because you're having water quality issues. |

| Re: Linckia Stars I do not feed my linkia. As I've mentioned before, I have no idea what it eats so I just trust that my tank is mature enough to support it and that seems to be the case. As for defining "mature", any tank that is 2+ years old is what I would consider to be mature. |
