Jelly Fish

I am planing on creating a jelly fish tank in my house. Would like to know if anyone has done this and what tips they may have. If I am the first in the forum. I will document my setup steps in detail so that others will be able to follow in my footsteps.

Tank 29 Gallon rectangle. Real salt water and sand from the ocean floor.

I am aware that jelly's will get trapped in the corners of tank with edges I plan to alleviate this issue by use of currents that will force them in to the center or if that does not work I will build something round (acrylic) inside the tank.

My questions.

What do they excrete?

Feeding, will my Plankton Reactor be the best or the right food source?

Should or can I put other things in my tank(Coral, fish, tank cleaners, crustaceans.)?

Any other information about there care?

They are hard to care for because they require daily inputs of live brine shrimp. As a result, I don't normally recommend them. However, it looks like you're serious enough to do research.

Jellyfish are carnivores so that phytoplankton reactor won't work by itself. They need zooplankton. If you want to be automated, you need the sister product to the one you linked. It can be found here. http://www.aquadirect.com/store/cust...9&cat=0&page=1

Alternatively, if you're willing to do the work, you can grow your own greenwater and have a manual brine shrimp hatchery. They are the most healthy for the jellyfish when they first hatch so you will be doing a LOT of hatching.

Most public aquariums use Chrysaora spp. or Aurelia aurita so if you don't want to go with upside down jellyfish, those would be the ones I would look for.

When googling for info, don't limit your search to the word jellyfish. The proper word would be gelatinous zooplankton.
