Default ID with a tiny tiny critter

im not 100% sure were to put this, but i ended up here. i have thousands, if not millions of tiny almost microscopic white dots moving around the glass of my tank. the tank has been running for about 5 months. i want to clean the glass but im scared ill kill something i need . it is probably just one of the stages the tank is going through, but you never know. i cant get a pic because they are so small.

Don't worry, those are copepods and are signs of a healthy tank. They are harmless and every one eventually gets them.
