| ID of star shaped thingie? Anybody have any idea what this is. It's the star shaped critter in the middle left of the pic, it is mobile but seems to stay on the same rock and moves very slowly. _________ 80 gal plywood/glass reef tank, AquaC Urchin Pro w/Mag 3, 38gal Sump/refugium w/Mag9.5, 2 Maxi Jet 1200, 2-200 watt Hagen Heaters, 100lbs CaribSea Aragonite, 80lbs handmade Aragocrete rock, 2-110W 48" VHO Actinic Blue, 2-110W 48" VHO 50/50, RO/DI, DIY coiled denitrator, Bi-color Blenny, Damsel, Yellow Tang, red/green lobophyllia, zooanthid frag, cabbage coral, asst. mushrooms, toadstool leather, frogspawn |

| Re: ID of star shaped thingie? I've looked all over the net and can't find anything like it!! From the side it looks almost pagoda shaped and it definitely grows very slowly. It came in on a rock with some mushrooms.

| Re: ID of star shaped thingie? I now have two of these star thingies!!! I was able to get very close up on one of them and it has a very hard shell. I am assuming it is some sort of snail because of its slow movement. Have not yet seen it against the glass to view its underside but I will post pictures if I can get some. So far completely harmless!!

| Re: ID of star shaped thingie? I finally got this guy on the glass and it is some sort of snail. I have two of them now and also noticed some baby snails around the tank that appear to be astreas or trochus so somebody actually layed some eggs and a few survived.
