| Re: I need ID for these??? Yeah, I was thinking feather dusters at first glance, but to my knowledge, they are not colonial, I don't think they would grow all together like that.
Then I saw the one on the sand, that looks more like an anemone. Are they the same animals on the rock and sand?
Can you enhance or blow up that pic at all? If you can't get another one? _________ http://www.3reef.com/uploads/BirdSig3.jpgI Love My Sig By John Hawkins!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Re: I need ID for these??? It looks like feather dusters to me. I am going to try and find a pic so you can ID. Feather dusters will colonize, if fact I have seen worm rocks that can sell for up to $75.

| Re: I need ID for these??? This is great!!! I knew that dusters could colonize however these do not look the same as the dusters I am getting. The one right next to the rock is typical of the dusters I have been getting a lot of. They all have tubes. These don't close like dusters, that quick snap. They just sort of slowly close down when disturbed. We will see, but from what you are saying they are probably not going to hurt anything!!
Thanks again for aleving my paranoia! I still am questioning why these little guys do not have any sort of tube, but then again they are still small. The other tubeworms in the tank have tubes upon my first seeing them.
I am going to try a pic at a higher resolution and see if I can blow it up. When I blow it up at the current resolution they get grainy enough that you cannot discern their structure.
