| To trap them for free, cut the foot part off of a pair of pantyhose (or use a knee-hi), stick some raw shrimp or raw clam chunks in the hose and tie it closed. Place the "trap" on the sand just before lights out and remove it the following morning. The worms will get their bristles stuck in the hose when they try to get to the bait. Be prepared to be grossed out |

| the worm traps you buy are useless.you catch a couplr worms, even 5-6 each time lol, there are hundreds, maybe a thousand you don't see.that sock trap sounds cool.let me know if it works.i way overdosed a flatworm killer and it stunned all the starfish and bristle worms in my tank.i scooped about a quart of bristle worms out that day but i may have lost a few baby starfish as well.the store said i'm lucky i did'nt hurt anything else so i have'nt done it since, but my worm problem is in control now.their good in small numbers for cleaning sand or even a dead fish.

| I wish I could answer your question directly. However, this may help: Quote: |
Sally Lightfoot Crabs will normally eat detritus found in an aquarium and can be quite useful in this capacity. Because they are opportunistic scavengers, Sally Lightfoot Crabs may also eat fish that have died, if they are of appropriate size. Some people believe that large Sally Lightfoot Crabs may even go after small fish species, even if the fish are healthy, so care should be taken when keeping this crab with small juveniles or small species. Supplemental feeding of dried seaweed or small meaty items will generally be necessary in tanks with low levels of algal growth.

| Thanks abunch...I went to Jack's today, and they oked it...they said they most likely will leave eachother alone, while CB Shrimp will often terrorize smaller shrimp, so yeah
My newest issue is this:
How do I get nitrate levels down in my tank??
Also...Will the introduction of only slightly cured live rock cause nitrate levels to rise??
I tested everything else, and all is well, it's just the ridiculous nitrate levels... |
