Harlequin troubles...

Ever get a star in your tank that your harly's could just not pull down?

I put one in 3 days ago, and they have yet been able to flip it and drag it in cave.

This star, a good sized CC, knows to head for and stay on glass where the Harlequins cannot pry him off, no matter how much they try.

I will knock it down to sand for them, but the starfish makes it back to glass before they can tackle it well enough to flip.

Guess the shrimp will figure it out...noticed one of the star's legs is half gone today.

The starfish certainly has been winning this battle for a change.

2/3 weeks ago. They have been out on the "hunt"

Solved their problem by tying CC star upside down on a rock with some fishing line.

They have been chewing away at it.

Strange. Did they hide out to molt after the last feeding? Could be that they're getting ready to molt or just molted so they may be weak and/or fragile.

Appears to me they just tired out trying to get the thing off glass. This starfish had particularily strong "suck."
