| Got my first anenome this week Got my first anemone this week. Its a Sebae anemone and came with a Clarki Clown that is absolutely in love with the anemone. I swear this fish shows so much affection for the anemone its almost embarising. Very cool. This sebae is a huge beast of probably 12 inches at least. Such a cool specimen!. She is off whitish brown. She came from a tank with only powercompact lighting and was never fed. I have her in a 55 gallon tank with 2 250 watt 10000k bulbs and PC supplementation. I will be feeding her 3 times a week silversides and peeled shrimp pieces. The tank has only been setup for 3 months and just finished cycling and I just got rid of the godamsels that were used to hurry the cycling. I have 50 pounds Fiji live-rock on top of a 5-6 inch sand bed. I have a new two little fishes phosphate reactor hooked up. I am trading my extra aquac remora plus 75 bucks for a knop C calcium reactor with all the c02 tanks and everything to a guy in my local message board (thanks very much). I have a AquaC Remora Pro W/Mag3 on this tank also. I have 2 maxijets running on a wavemaker pro glancing off the back walls and a seio pump pumping water across the front. I plan to keep only 1 small fish (the clarki clown) and the big anemone in this tank. I will keep livestock to a absolute minimum. I will be trying my hand at keeping clams and sps corals mainly in this tank. Hopefully the anemone stays put for, she sure is a nice one. I also bought this one from a guy on my local message board. 40 bucks with the little clown fish. Good deal to me.
Wish me luck with my new tank, It will be my first real attempt to keep sps corals, Clams and anemones. Pictures to come when my Uncle returns my camera. SOON hopefully...
Jay

| Good luck! Try Montipora Digitata or Capricornis as well as Pavona. Millipora Acropora is also very nice for starter sps's! For clams go with the Squamosa and Durasa Tridacna's. | Thanks everyone! I guess I could be blowing money on much worse things. Seems like a small cocaine habit would cost about the same..hehehe. Its about as addicting I think.
Coralreefer Are those corals a little more hardy starter sps? I will try them. I have a few new friends that live near me in the hobby. Some have really awesome tanks and I bet I will be buying and trading frags with them soon.
Has anyone else seen their clownfish feed their anenome? Mine will eat a few pieces of mysis then start feeding the anenome. Its really cool to watch. I feed the clown 1 mysis at a time. When the shrimp starts its pass in the current the clown darts up snatches the shrimp then brings it to the anenome and drops it near its mouth. Very cool to watch.

| Jay,
My maroon clown does this also. What a nice relationship these animals have developed over time. My clown is also very protective of the anemones. Anybody who gets close gets shoved out of the way, myself included

| Diver hows it going. I havent been around the forum to much lately. Seeing a lot of new names here. Thats good. I found a forum thats local to my new home in Vancouver Washington. Thereeftank.com. Finaly some people to trade with and meetings to go to. Its fun to meet people with the same intrests.
I will get some photos pretty soon of my new tank. Right now its going through the algae phase and with halides I bet this lasts for a long while. There is no hair algea thank god but the green dusting all over the glass and sand gets annoying.
