    Well I took the last piece of rock out of the 55g I was breaking down and found these guys underneath it.

    Those are large healthy bristle worms/ sometimes called fire worms and will do not harm.

    Lol mini python. They caught me by surprise glad I didn't touch them. I got 2 smaller ones in my fuge of the new tank.

    They are bristle worms. They are actually pretty great to have in a tank. They are detritus feeders and they will also crawl around in the sand and it keeps the sand health. We have a ton in our tank and they leave all the other creatures alone. Just try not to rub your fingers against them because sometimes they can irritate your skin with their bristles. But if that happens juts use tape and pull the bristles out.

    They may be harmless but if it's something I wouldn't want to pick up with my hands, I wouldn't want them in my tank. I'm a pretty manly fella but I can be a big sissy lala with things like this.
