| They will co-exist but there's no guaranty that they will eat your pests. I find that it's best to add a handful of each and hope that one or more eats whatever they're reputed to eat |

| They can coexist...that being said however, I would try to lower your nitrates and phosphates and DOM for best results in keeping them at bay thus decreaseing the chances of them growing and spreading in the future! _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | I have 2 of both in my 55 gal and they seem to be taking care of the problems they were put in there for. It will take them a while. _________ Scott 265g (Peninsula)

| ok, today i decided to try to tackle the bubble algae.. i used my glass scraper to try to knock it off (at the base of course), i think it actually did a pretty good job.. only one or two of the bubbles popped, the rest broke off of the rock and started floating around... so i scooped them up or waited for them to get stuck on the powerheads, and then grabbed them... then i had a little fun... lol... went to the bathroom sink, and popped them with my fingers! (some actually made a LOUD popping sound!) i know i may have a breakout because of what i did, but it was fun, and actually seemed to help a little initially... maybe my skimmer and blenny will take care of the spored before they have a chance to settle and regrow... i got rid of about half to 2/3 of what i originally had... maybe i'll end up getting lucky, and won't have to deal with even more later on..
oh, on a side note, i found the perfect cleaner package for me and my tank... the "diversity pack" from etropicals.com... designed for 30-50 gallon aquariums, and has 2 emeralds and 3 peppermints, plus a bunch of hermits and different snails... i think its around 90 bucks, shipping included! |
