Default Elegance Coral vs Linkia Starfish....and the winner is ?????

Well I had some excitement happen here the other night. I thought my Elegance was going to make a dinner out of the Linkia Starfish. The starfish was able to finally pull apart from the tenicles on the elegance. Pretty cool to watch, I got some pics of it. Glad they are both ok!

Awesome
The starfish is not so dumb as to stay in contact for too long.
Beautiful additions to the tank, and they know how to get along. "Just stay away!"

i just saw one for $119 in my LFS, it didnt glow green, but they keep some of their corals under 10000k (i dont know why) but i bet it would under 14000k or 20000k. They are awesome corals. Awesome tank Otty!

The shrimp will never make it walking over these things. They are a predator and anything that touches them they sting and start pulling towards their mouth. The shrimp will just be an expensive snack. I feed it a dime size piece of cocktail shrimp about every two weeks and it closes up on it and devourers it.
I think your LFS is pulling your chain!
Thanks for the complament!

That is an awesome specimen, Otty...One of our lfs had one that was about 12-15 inches accross. It was part of the purchase of an entire 700 gallon setup...
