cucumbers in redsea max? advised or not?

I'm looking at possible clean up crew and noticed dwarf yellow cucumbers. I'd like something for the redsea max which is a 34 gallon (29 usable) tank. Do cucumbers require a certain sand bed depth? If they are going to get large, I'd rather not get them. They may starve if they get large in a 29 gallon tank. I saw the dwarf cucumber and I don't know much about them. Thanks,

I'd stick with a standard CUC as I would still consider that tank a nano IMO (anything under 40 to me is a nano) I would use small hermits, maybe one large one like an electric blue but they are clumsy(mine knocks stuff over constantly, cool crab though) some nassarius snails, some astreas...add them slowly as needed till you find a balance,my CUC is in my sig for my 12 gallon and they doo good, my bicolor blenny also eats alot of algae off everything(even the astreas shells) and is one of the coolest fish I have ever watch(very active with a huge personality)

if its just the sand you want to keep clean try one of these guys( diamond goby). he sifts sand all day long and hermits will do the job as well.

the combination of the two has gotten rid of almost all of the junk that sits on the sand bed.
