Crab missing limbs

    My crab has bee sitting here for the past 3 days. It stretches out but it never moves. It seems its missing its arms and legs on one side. Idk if to take him out or not. And idk how it got like this. Should i take it out?

    well i don't think i've ever seen that, i would give it a little time but i think he's in trouble, if he's a gonner you should put him in a little tank water in the frezzer this is the best way i think to end it:cry:

    If the crab can get thru a couple of molts, it should be OK, as the legs/claws will regrow. However, you'll need to make sure it can eat, so you may need to hand feed it.

    What tankmates do you have with it? I suspect something has tried to eat the crab.

    I have a fire shrimp, 3 stripe damsel, snails, and a green emerald crab.

    It's probably the emerald crab that did it...if not, the shrimp is likely. Do you feed the inverts?

    no. didn't think i need to feed them. thought they would get the scraps of food and algae.

    They will but if theres not enough scraps your inverts will find another meal somewhere.
