I've got a coral banded with two cleaners, and I have yet to see any problems whatsoever. How big is the CBS?

&&Right now I'm in the middle of a conversion from reef to Discus/ planted aquarium. Hair algae beat me down. Maybe a nano in the future. Everything screwed up so I'm converting to FOWLR. Wish me luck.

I have 2 cleaner shrimp & a CBS they get along fine... I might add that my cbs is much larger than my cleaner shrimp. CBS killed a much larger arrow crab to my dismay!

I'd say that if you have CBS and any other type of clawed crustacean they will try to duke it out. I had my cleaner and my emerald mithrax crab go at it. I've also seen them destroy the red blood shrimps, and cleaners, not to mention that the CBS tried to eat a firefish I had.

I would've thought though that the arrow crab would've destroyed the CBS those guys really suck.

coral banded shrimp are a**es. They are very territorial and very aggressive, be careful and if you do add a cleaner, update us on the progress, as I want to add one myself and would be interested to see how the CBS responds to another shrimp in the tank.

I had a CBS and an Arrow crab and 3 Peppermint Shrimp in a 30gal.hex and just lost the Arrow Crab probably to the CBS. But on the whole the CBS just minds his own business.

Hi : I have had a mated pair of CBS for about a year. Yes I did loose a arrow crab, however I also have 2 cleaner shrimp and they seem to be fine. i have noticed that the CBS come out at night and rarely see them in the day. On the other hand the cleaner shrimp are out during the day. Good luck , I think they all can have somewhat different temperaments.
