| coral banded shrimp arm fell off Hi,
i just purchased a coral banded shrimp for my nano tank. I saw in the fish store that one of the other shrimp had an arm missing, so i bought another one that had all its claws. I brought it home and it was fine, but about 4 hours later i noticed its claw arm on the bottom of the tank.
Is my shrimp going to shrimp heaven? is it in shock? Will the arm go back?
thanks for any help,
vinnie

| Re: coral banded shrimp arm fell off It will be fine. When I bought my banded shrimp he was missing his claw and all his legs on one side. His anteni were all bent and he looked all beat up. I put him in my 55 gallon and he grew everything back in like a month. If he makes it past acclimation time he will be fine.

| Re: coral banded shrimp arm fell off Oh yea...I forgot to mention that it was a mercy purchase. My lfs has just bought his store and knows very litle about saltwater stuff. He threw up 4 10 gallon tanks with all the colored gravel and bio wheel filters and started ordering inverts the next day. Well you can see where that went....I think I bought most of his stock just to save them from him. It was the only shrimp he had and he gave him to me half price because he was in such bad shape.
He looks awesome now. He has trantulas in those tanks now.

| Re: coral banded shrimp arm fell off my banded lost a claw and my tang ate her antenna after she molted, they both grew back to normal size.
