Default copepod's breeding

There are hundreds if not thousand of small copepods on my tank's glass. They are everywhere on the glass. I think the original nest is where the cocktail shrimp is. I still see lots of babies copepods around the shrimp. I see some medium size, but most are very small. I actually can see 2 "tail" from the small one.

I was wondering should I buy amphipods too? I seem some in petco's fish tank today and they are hugh. They looks like a big commas.

Thanks!
GKW

Is Petco actually selling the amphipods? I had to get mine shipped. They do get big are very active and cool to watch. Fish like to eat them and they breed pretty quick (In a refugium), they romp around the chaeto in my fuge like monkeys in a jungle. Once I shake some into the tank I don't see them much, either they are all being picked off or hiding in the rocks to evade predators.

No, I just saw it in their display tank. After putting back in my sump just now and turn the pump on, I see 3 dead amphipods in the water. I thought I saw something I never saw before the other night...I thought it was a big copepod (I couldn't see that well cause it was on the back left corner of my tank).

Now I am starting to think that all those small little mites might be amphipods (crossing fingers). I might just hold off on the amphipods, althought they are kinda cheap.

Thanks!

PS: The microbubbles still exist, but not as bad as before...:*(

They sound like amphipods.

I just siphon some of them into a container and pour it in my fuge. I also place a LR in there too. I hope they grow fast...BTW how fast do they grow and what's their live span?

Thanks!
