carnations have a life span of 6 months to a yr in captivity.i'm sure your already seeing the 1st peices falling off.imo they should not be sold to the general public.reef central has a 20 or 30 page thread on trying to keep them alive in their advanced topic section.garf.org kept them a couple yrs in an extremely complex system consisting of like 5 tanks of filters for one small display tank but its gone now do to a over night leak.you are talking about a regular carnation coral right?cause i've never heard them being called an anemonee.are you maybe talking about a strawberry anemonee?cause those are easily kept.
