Default Carnation anemone
i just bought a carnation anemone and i was wondering what does it eat, since i dont really know much about them, and also my lfs have a purple linkia, i dont know i should buy it or not.

55g AGA 55lb LR, 55lb sand, CPR skimmer, magnum 350, koralia 1.
in progress:

120g RR, 40 sump/fuge, panworld 50pxx, 2 x 250 Lumen Bright Reeflux 12k coralvue ballst, 2x54 t5 current usa, 24 led moonlight, shallow sand bed, 2x Koralia 4, around 200lbs rock, msx 200, aquac phosphate reactor... If you see something better out there, let me know. most of the parts still being process.

Unless your tank is a year or older, I would skip the linkia. Unless you feel like target feeding the carnation a heck of alot of phyto and zoo plankton, I would return the it. They are not at all photosynthetic and will require alot of feeding to survive.

carnations have a life span of 6 months to a yr in captivity.i'm sure your already seeing the 1st peices falling off.imo they should not be sold to the general public.reef central has a 20 or 30 page thread on trying to keep them alive in their advanced topic section.garf.org kept them a couple yrs in an extremely complex system consisting of like 5 tanks of filters for one small display tank but its gone now do to a over night leak.you are talking about a regular carnation coral right?cause i've never heard them being called an anemonee.are you maybe talking about a strawberry anemonee?cause those are easily kept.

they are actual call carnation anemone, they have small white testicles and orange based and they stuck to rock, i bought it for around 8 bux
