| Care advice needed Hi
I could use some help with the care of a couple animals that were collected from a local inlet. One is a urchin , wich is probly gerneric care for all urchins, but the most info needed is for the Red Beard sponge. These are in a 10gal for now till I can be sure they can be put in the main tank.
Thanks
P.S. Not my pics.

| Red beard prefers dim light bright light will encourage algae growth that can eventually suffocate the sponge high flow is a strong recommendation with spot feedings of phyto and whatever food you like to mix up. |

| Good advice above on the sponge. As for the urchin, it will pretty much be self-sufficient on whatever it finds in the tank. It will feed on detritus, algae and bits of leftover meaty foods; normally no special care is required. Good luck! |

| Yeah my friend is into scuba and their growing in a nearby river(Shark River, Belmar).
From what I,ve read so far, they are common a state or two north and south of Jersey.
The butterflies got caught up in the Gulf stream and are doomed when it gets a little more colder. So far he has gotten six for me but two died. hopefully the other four will make it,they look strong.
I just need lots of tips about sponges. |

| I plucked my urchin off the shores here in Oki at low tide.
It eats all the algae off the rocks and walls. I'll spot feed him some feeder shrimp sometimes and I caught him trying to eat a bumble-bee snail once. they will knock stuff all over the place so watch it. |
