Default Can you ID this star

Hey all. I bought this star about a month ago. I was told its a thorny starfish but i cant really find any info on it anywhere.

Heres a pic

Im pretty sure its reef safe cause 1. the guy at the LFS told me so and it hasn't touched anything in my tank that it wasn't supposed to.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Marc.
