My family wanted to get something for the tank yesterday without me. It was a surprise. Isn't that wonderful! I have all of them interested. I think everyone will get coral for Christmas. Ok, I will but in there names. Ha Ha. So they brought home what they thought and was told a peppermint shrimp. Turns out to be a camelback. I wanted to return it today but he is quite fun to watch. How bad is he for the tank?

They have been known to eat corals which is why they're not considered reef safe.

Good answer to that potential problem! Now you have to get your family members a nice reef book to read and not make a similar mistake!!!

How funny, I just picked up one of those books last night. Would you believe the guy told me that the camelback was great for a reef tank? I tried to tell him that was not true but when your 17 you think you know more. I told him to check out 3reef and get educated. He finally traded me for a peppermint.
