Default BTA Spliting

Well yesterday my BTA split into two. So I thought. I looked in there today after work and spotted a 3rd one. How many is are they gonna make before it stops. I was waiting for the main one to detach so I could take it to work and sell it, now I have to wait for 3 of them to detach. Hopefully no more will just up and appear.

my BTA split in 2 a month ago...so cool! congrats!
what do you mean by "detach"? suddenly come loose from the rock work? if you want them out of the tank I'd just take a credit card to gently pry their feet off the rock and send them on their way....

one division is typical... I dont think you will see more than two splits this time around. They split naturally when healthy and when stressed alike. Do check water quality and consider if anything unfavorable might have caused it (overdue water change... light quality degraded from dusty lamps, yellow water, poor carbon use, etc)

Else enjoy
