Post some picks. It's hard to tell from your description. Some BTAs just change size, shape, shades of color, move around, and do strange stuff all the time. Could be normal, but it could be bad news.
What are your water parameters?
What's your lighting and hours of light per day?
What did you feed the BTA?

Yep, post some pics.

Oozing stuff probably just anem poop.

If water params not pristine or relatively new tank it is probably not going to make it.

(Also, if lighting significantly different then where it came from...)

Hope I am wrong.

I agree with all the above comments also do you know when the last time it was fed beofore this last feeding you somtimes have to be cautios with over feeding

I have not seen mine ooze at all but that dosn't mean it dosn't as it is in fairly strong flow (it chose the spot not me) so I probly just dont see the oosing aka sliming

take a close look at the bta is the mouth of it open and you can see inside of it if not then you are probly in fair shape

also how did you aclimate this to your tank and lights bta's need extreemly slow aclimation especialy to light

I hope this guy survives as way too many of them die

the tank is only a few months old but everything in it is great. He is open and ready to party today. The only thing is he footed under a rock where he does not get a lot of light. I will post some pics

if he isn't getting enough light you can hold off on feeding and he will move to a better spot

Your tank is kinda young for a bta.... You'll have to keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best... I lost a rose tipped bta I had bought at around 4 months... I bought another one at a year and it lasted until I traded it in for something else....
