| Bristleworm in tank It seems that I have a tan/brown bristleworm in my reef tank. It stays near the bottom and never comes out fully from under a rock. Doesn't bother anything as I can see so should I leave it alone? Some are beneficial. Any opinions? I read about traps and such not sure I want to bother as it keeps to itself and stays under the same rock. Thanks, Wayne |

| If it's too large, it may wreak a little havoc. The best way to see it in action is observe it when the moonlights are on. It's a night crawler.

| They are beneficial also as long as they don't take over your tank.
You don't need to target feed hermit crabs etc. which offers Bristleworms alot of food for them to grow and reproduce, as some people have done in the past. I would leave it in your tank. It's like having ants, they are beneficial to an extent, but when there are to many they become a problem. _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | I have seen one in my tank before... like over 3 months ago... I have read that they can take out anemone which worries me cause I have a BTA. I like to fix things the natural way... So what will eat a bristle worm? |

| There's a wrasse that will eat the worm, a pseudo-bicolor although so far mine hasn't and coral banded shrimp and arrow crabs have been known to attack bristle worms... The coral shrimp and arrow crab are mortal enemies - I know from experience! |
