    Hello All,

When I was in the Air Force my roommate was into raising and maintaining hermit crabs. These crabs where bigger than the crabs that I am seeing at the LFS. Where can I get two or three big crabs for my saltwater tank? I think I prefer two or three big crabs than a bunch of small ones. Any and all help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.;D

    Thanks

Well my lfs takes its humours. Sometimes it has all tiny baby hermits for sale and other days they have the big ones in. Just ask someone at your lfs maybe they can order some big ones in for you. Otherwise I dont know any sites etc.. where you could get any.

Personally I prefer to have smaller hermit crabs. They can get into tight spots easier than the larger ones. Just my opinion though.....

Thanks for your advice. I never gave the tight spots a thought.

I would not go with big. Had a big one and he did the same, flip rocks, climb on corals, etc. He finally died from something and I was actually happy. Wait maybe I killed him.

Thanks for the information. I think I will stick with the small ones. The way I have my live rock stacked he would topple a few of the rocks on the top.

    Thanks again.
