| Keep the empty snail shells on the bottom of the tank, so that your hermit crabs can move into them if they want to. I bought some really nice small conch shells and threw them in the bottom, and already 2 hermit crabs have moved into them. I really like the Super Tongan Nassarius Snails. Whenever the anemone is done digesting and spits out the waste, those snails are on it in less than a minute.
I'd also like to find out what else will help eat the hairy green algae on my LR and the back glass of my tank. I'm thinking about picking up an algae blenny today, and maybe an emerald crab - but I'm a little worried about the emerald crab going after my fish or hermit crabs, and snails.

| I have two electric blue hermit crabs that have been picking at hair algae, they are large but peaceful, though they are clumsy around stuff, so they might know corals over, one even cleaned my atreas shell that had hair algae on it, the snail didnt like the hitchhicker but he didnt bother the snail in any harmful way and went about his business afterwards, also if you have a large enough tank and hairy sea hare would be cool to have, my LFS has one, interesting to watch, it moves alot faster then a snail. also a lettuce nudibranch will eat hair algae i believe

Turbo's are my favorite for glass/rock cleanup...they just go and go, work and work.
Trochus do same.
Only have 3 large Zebra Turbos and maybe a half dozen Banded Trochus Snails in main tank and rocks/glass stay algae free.
The Zebra Turbos are about 2 to 3 times larger then other turbos and do about 5 times as much work as the Atlantic variety
Guess might be reason I have never yet had any hair algae show up in tank. _________ AG "125," AquaC EV 180, 30 gal sump, "SCWD", 80 lbs LR, CoralSeaLife "Moonlite" Hood, PFO 250W HQI Mini-Pendant (SPS HQI 14000k bulb)
