baby shrimp?

on a daily basis, i see tiny, clear, 2-4 mm shrimp. i only have one cleaner shrimp in the tank. do they not need 2 to reproduce? or are they coming from some where else that i dont know about? they make it around the tank a few times stuck in the water colum untill the power heads eat them...

They are Amphipods or Copepods.

any way to get rid of them? or should i not be concerned with them? where do they come from?

If they look like baby shrimp then I'd bet they are mysid shrimp.

Grab a turkey baster, suck them up and mail them to me! Thanks!

Pods are herbivore/detritivores. Excellent part of your CuC, and a sign of a healthy tank.

haha well thats good that my tank is healthly. i just thought that it would be bad for them cus they get eaten alive, cant hold on to the rocks so the get whirled around the tank non-stop, and / or get puree'd (spelling?) by my power heads. there is a lot of them, ill see about a dozen a week get eaten/killed, and they keep coming..?

Then you have hundreds- if not thousands staying under/behind the rocks where you can't see them.
