JUST BOUGHT MANDERIN GOBY FRIDAY WAKE UP SATURDAY ITS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND KEPT SEARCHING AND FIND THAT ITS HEAD IS STICKING OUT OF MY CARPET ANEMONE THE CARPET HAS ALREADY EATIN ONE OF MY STARS, AND A FOX FACE, SHOULD I NOT HAVE THIS IN A REEF TANK

sorry for the lose carpets are known to eat all kines of things. snails, small fish, even shrimp. how big is it

Some/most ppl dont like keeping anemones for that same reason. I on the other hand have never had that problem. Luna

I lost a 4" sailfin tang and a 5-6" mimic tang to my "ex" Ritteri anemone. Funny (or not so) thing is now it won't eat silversides, only dead tangs that show up at our shop

i heard you shouldn't keep mandarins with anemones or other small gobies because they blunder into them. as far as getting rid of it, its up to you. personally id say keep it if you got it to be a special item(like a rare coral, morish idol, or something) just be careful what you put in there, but if dont want to take special precuations or care id get rid of it.
