|  Any luck fragging colts?
I have one particular large colt which I would like to frag a couple of pieces off...
However, in past, I have had very little success in fragging this kind of coral, especially small pieces.
It is very slimy and is hard to pin down.
Pieces just want to get up and float away.
Even is small dish with rubble and covered in bridle veil, they don't seem to want to attach to anything.

Dont know what to say, I have read that they are fairly easy to frag. I usually superglue everything in my tank including the colt. What I did was superglued it to little dowels made of glass, and then I put them in hole in my rock. With time they attach to the rock.

Colt is one of the slimiest things I ever laid hold of.
I ended up sewing it to a few pieces of LR and then put it in a place with very, very low flow for a couple weeks untill it attatched.
That was 4-5 mos ago and it is huge again. Probably 18x18" I am dreading fragging it up again.

Maybe try to use a toothpick to attach it to a rock. _________ Tank Specs:

Get some plastic toothpicks, stab the colt with the toothpick, then wrap a rubber band on to one end of the toothpick, then stick the other end into the sand. The colt will attach to the sand, the rubberband will hold it down. When it attaches to the sand, you can glue the sand to whatever you want.
Tradtional fragging using super glue does not work on colts, they are way to slimey. Ive tried every method I could find, and thats the only one that worked for me. I never tried sewing it down though. Sinularia is A LOT different then a colt coral... Sinularia I just stick the end in the sand and it will attach itself, no glue needed. Colts are like grabbing a hold of a big blob of slime and trying to attach it to something. | |

I use Wedding Veil fabric, it is a white lace like fabric made out of nylon or something like that. You can buy at any fabric store or craft store. You can buy them in precut round disc's that are 4,6,8 and I think 10 inches across.
You put the frag on what ever you want to attach them to, wrap the fabric around it to hold it in place, but not to tightly and tie a rubber band around the bottom. Put the frag in a spot that has a low flow and wait a week or two.
I have used this with Colt, Kenya tree, Mushrooms and Ricordeas. Its allot easier than sewing or even trying to glue them that for sure.

Think I will try out combination of above this AM....colt really needs a trim.
