Default Aiptasia

My 50 gallon reef tank is 6 weeks old. Started with cured live rock. Just seen what I think are 2 aiptasia
Best way to eradicate please - peppermint shrimp(wurdemanni ?) any good . Presently I have 1 cleaner and 1 fire shrimp

I would go with the Peppermint shrimp!!!! Also if you want to use Joe's Juice, or a strong dose of Kalkwasser...they are your best bet!

Another idea that I have been doing is keeping the peppermint shrimp in my sump and swapping out rock that gets aptasia on it. I have noticed that they swarm to the aptasia and it is gown in 1-2 days. This is also the only way I seem to be able to keep my peppermint shrimp alive even though my fire and cleaner have no issues.

Inject them with boiling water in a syringe. That should take care of them.

Don't cut, pull, rip or try to physically remove them in any way, this makes them spread. Hot water and lemon juice is supposed to work but most will tell you it doesn't. The best way is to make a kalk paste, put it in a syringe and spread it on the aiptasia and they will gobble it up and croak. PM Tangster he is full of great ideas and he will help you.

Default Aiptasia problem

I bought a few rocks with aiptasia on them and I just got some boiling water in a syringe w/o a needle and squirted them with it. Killed them and I haven't had a problem since.
