about Crabs

In my tank I have noticed three types of crabs, really tiny white ones that live in my LR and just pick at algae, medium sized ones with round pinchers w/black tips and medium sized crabs with pointed claws and sharp edges..

the crabs with the pointed claws seem to be aggressive little SOBs and the round clawed ones only care about eating the algae.

I cought a large round clawed crab yesterday that is at least 5 inches wide and watched him for some time last night. My fish are in a HOS tank for ich so I didnt worry about them but I kept a watchfull eye on him to make sure he didnt touch my shrimp. All it did was chill on rocks under the moon light and eat algae.. is this something to expect or should I take his claws off and feed him to my puffer?
