Yellow or tan poofs

    I need help identifying this. The soft yellow or tan things in the picture, There are 3 on this piece of rock. There are a few more through out tank. I noticed each one has a hole in it.

    ya, sponges but you say that there is one hole, is it a fairly large hole at the top and centre?
    If so, my guess is tunicates

    The holes are not centered or on top. I removed one from rock. Not all of it came off. Seemed like the same as pulling a spider web away from something. It does not seem hamful to tank. So i geuss im gonna leave them for now.

    Sounds like sponge if that's what it seemed like when removing it.

    I saw another post. my guess is a pineapple sponge. Seen some pics from other contributer. I have not seen it filter feeding day or night.

    This is a pineapple sponge. They're about the size of a thin pencil eraser (the kind on the end of the pencil).
