Default Wierd Wierd Wierd... ID Help Pleeeeeease
Hey Guys,

Into the 3rd week of cycle on my new marine setup.... using uncured live rock.

In the last couple of days we have a very strange creature now residing all over the tank, rock, glass, cables, water inlet, anywhere it can fix itself down..

It is a 3mm (Max) white blob, it has extending hair like threads, which also have approx 1 inch extender hairs all down the main hairs length... It waves around in the currents then retracts the hair and extends it again...

The hairs can extend out to some 12-14inches sometimes...

Is this good bad indifferent, and more to the point what is it ??

Any help appreciated..

I'm almost certain It's from fiji... Supposed Grade A Fiji rock via TMC in England, very reputable so I'm led to believe..

Its a vermetid snail, just not your everyday common one. I wanted know the location the rock came from to try and pin point the exact name. There is over 2000 known species, and cant pin point it just yet.

I second what geek says.

If they get out of hand, or you just want to reduce population later...get a wrasse. Rarely see them with sixline and coris in tank.
