Title explains its appearance. It is a milky white and jelly/snot consistency. There is an opening in the end of the protrusion and appears to be filled in the center with water. It is growing out of a clam shell that was still attached to my live rock when i bought it. I have no idea what it could be. any ideas would help. Thanks
Heres a pic i know its bad ill try with a better camera if i can

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Welcome to 3reef

If the clam is still alive it might be it's siphon. The foot of a clam does not have an opening so that rules that out, but that would have been my other guess. Next I would think a type of sponge.

But I am just guessing because I can really tell anything from the image.

the clam might have finally starved and died, might want check your water, see if there is a spike. and maybe check to see if it can be easily removed from the rock

    Update with better pictures

Here is some better pictures. It cannot be the dying clam, when the rock was placed inside the tank there was nothing in it. I have a constant monitor on the tank that alerts me when the ammonia levels rise and there has been none. this glob has been there ~ 1 week. Thanks for the help
