Default What are the white dots?

I'm looking at the white bubble-looking dots on the snail and the rock. They are also on other rock. I haven't seen this before tonight. I'm sorry the pictures are not the best, I'm new at this.

jptrson- thanks for the snail idea- I found an archive on the site about nerites, looks like what I have! I don't think my tank produces enough algae to support them, so if they die, am I in for pollution?
