Default What is it

I just saw this crawling on the side glass of my tank and this is the best pic I can get. Super small head and long body.

Wow, tried to figure it out and failed. I would get it out of there now (until you figure it out). You have a clear shot at it.

I forget the name of it, but its not good. If its the same one that Im thinking about, they can grow as big as 6' long and become a real P.I.T.A. and consume some corals. Luna

Luna,

I think you're thinking of a Eunicid worm.

This one is a nemertean worm (sometimes called a ribbon worm) or an echiura worm. If it was completely smooth it's a nemertean.....if segmented, it's an echiura.'

Big ones aren't very nice tank mates. Dr. Shimek doesn't like them in reef tanks when they are larger either.

They have never bothered my corals though. I don't trust large eunicid worms at all because they are so fast that they can nab passing fish and they also eat soft corals.

Steve's eunicid worm was my favorite though. Oregonreef.com
