I would post a pic but I can't get one good enough for ID purpose. Basically it is kind of shaped like a starfish with with really skinny long tentacles. It is VERY small and moves around quite slow. My tank is going through the 'cycling phase' and I threw in a cocktail shimp this morning to help out, that is when I noticed these small little creatures!

    Mini brittle stars perhaps.

They could be tiny brittle stars.

    I have them too.
Depending on your version of "skinny" legs, they could be Asterina starfish.
Go to the common ID section and check to see if that is it.

That is it in the picture, will they do any harm to the tank or they of the friendly nature?

My camera wouldn't get a detail pic that good! - sorry

Not that I know of. They will eat stuff on the sand and on the rock, but I have never had one do any real damage. I also have really red ones. I'm glad I can help.
