Strange Worm on Goniopora (@ night)

    So, last night I noticed something on my goniopora base when my moons were on. On closer inspection I realized it was a strange looking red/brown stringy worm. It was segmented and was on the gonio from one side to the other. I attempted to take some tweezers to grab it, but once I touched it, it shot into the sand (I think), was very fast.

    Any ideas what this is, or if it's harming my gonio? I have noticed my gonio not extending as much as it used to, maybe 50% less, but I am also aware of Gonio's limited lifespan.
