    That is a hard one for sure.

    Possible sponge but need a better image for sure.

    it looks like a sponge, but would need a better pic to be 100%. does it move?

    Need better photos but it looks like the tips of polyps or a group of aiptasia. Need better photos

    Thanks a for the replies. Its hard to get a good pic because its in a dark hole in the rock it is defiantly moving i will try to get a better picture

    It never moves?

    Because looking at the image a second time it looks like a furry crab?

    Scrap that yeah it does move. So if it is indeed a crab it's extremely hit and miss as to how reef safe it it. Urban reef legend implies that hairy crabs are most likely to be predatory as they mature. I would remove it and re-home to the sump if possible.

    Good eyes, Coralline...now that you said that, it sure looks like a gorilla/teddy bear crab. We kept one we found as a "sump monkey" for a few years.
