I actually think its quite pathetic the amount of bad karma this guy is getting. Its being delivered in such a childish way. This thread really needs to get shut down.

I agree. Do any of you know the OP's situation? Maybe he does not have an LFS or a friend that would take an octopus (I certainly don't). Maybe he doesn't have the large amount of money to set up the species tank to properly rear an octopus. He had a highly aggressive predator that was ripping apart his community tank. If it happened to me, I would have absolutely no choice but to do the same. Negative karma should rarely be used, and IMHO this is not the appropriate situation.

it looks like the poster is a newb . and im sure seein this he\she panicked in a sense. i might too seein a fish being eaten like that. maybe they didnt have anyway to keep the octopus, which woulda been a shame because i agree , woulda been cool to have a species tank. so i agree with phoenix, the negative karma isnt justified in this case.

ps if you think thats something ive seen a guy with a sea turtle in a 50g ...and please no negative karma
