| Yup, looks like gsp (green star polyp) to me. _________ 90 gallon tank with center overflows, 44 gallon custom sump/fuge, Tek T5 retrofit 4x54 bulbs, Reef Octopus nw200 protein skimmer, Iwaki WMD40RLXT return pump (changed to panworld 100pxx),Knop c ca reactor, PA light house controller. | I've seen this b4 in one of my Japanese "sea creatures" books. The white tips were very distinctive in all the pictures they had, and it looks like that's what you've got here. If it's GSP, I'll say so after I get home to look this up, if it's something else, I'll google it to find pics for everyone. I do believe it's the same family as good ol star polyps though. |

| yeah i have green star polyp and it definatly does not look like that ahhah, um but it does look like some sort of polyp, it is going to be hard to destinct exactly what it is though. |

| I have something like that but is nowhere near that big! still looks like a little volcano, but I know it wasn't there when I first got the rocks. it may not be the same thing though

| The white portion of the polyps are shaped like X-mas trees. Kind of like a cartoon rendering. It does resemble a volcano. I've been watching these things grow for a while. The GSP's in the picture with it have only been there for a month. Not to mention, mine have never spread since I've owned them. One of the first corals I bought (hoping it would spread like they say). |
