Some kind of an algae, not sure on the species. Has a rubbery texture to it.

Thanks all.

Curt: I tried to find some info on google. Not very much there except from scientific name, where found, pics and so on. I also searched 3reef and there was one post about this. Apparently it's a good algae to have. Is this so, and, will it spread? What feeds this type of algae?

Thanks in advance.

Some rabbitfish will eat it but most won't.

On occasion you'll get a turbo to eat it. Urchins often eat it.

Nuke the rock it's on. People get frustrated with Caulerpa's.....they're nothing compared to Lobo. They have a million holdfasts Vs. hundreds.

There are methods involving bleach. There are methods that are more natural but take a while. Pick your poison.

No....it is no a good algae to have....this is one nasty algae.
