    What is he?

I also saw another earlier that was red with white - no grey in the body like this one and he was much larger

Throw him back in the tank - bristleworms will become an important part of your cleanup crew.

I have a handfull of larger ones in my display tank that ive seen and most likley hundres of little one between the refugium and display tank. Never had a problem with them.

Are we sure? I thought they were just brown? Not with the red? And what about the red and white one I saw earlier?

Looks like Eurythoe sp. or common bristleworm. They make a great part of a cleanup crew.

The one you've got a photo of is a common bristle worm. The red and white one could possible be a fire worm from that description, but the only way to be sure on here is a positive pic ID. Google fire worm, look at lionfish's guide posted earlier, or get a good picture of it and post back here. Hopefully it's just a bristle worm you saw, but when in doubt, get it out.
