    looking at your tank it is a new setup an emerald crab or some hungry hermits will eat it.
    as for what it is its a type of hare algy most tangs and blinnies want eat it.

    Try a turbo snail. I added 3 to my 40 breeder and they took care of the little bit of GHA that I had.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Blow it off with a turkey baster or suction/syphon it out. If it grows back then you might have an issue. It's looks pretty isolated.
