| I.D this please black worm I have found on a piece of live rock a long thin black worm with white (flame) markings on it head, which is rounded but seems to be split in the center, it also seems not to attach it self to anything but likes to hide under the rock, it ended up on my hand (much to my worry) and there was no reaction

| Sounds like your basic run of the mill bristle worm.
( DO NOT touch it with your bare hands , if it is a bristle worm or other it will give you a painful sting.)
Need a picture of this worm to be for sure though. |

| Remove that thing , any thing that large is a menace, i will look and reserach it , also ?
how did you aquire this ? how long do you suspect it to be in your tank ?
DON'T touch it bare handed,
I'll be honest ive never seen somthing like that , it almost looks like a kids rubber snake or somthing lol
It looks like some sort of an eel to be honest if any thing.
and red ? it looks like in one pic that it has yellow/greenish eyes ..lol like a kids toy.
Do you have kids ? did they perhaps throw somthing in there when you wer'int looking ?

The pods are a GREAT thing to have , look back at that thumb nail i left ans ee if it looks like that .
At any rate i would leave this black worm/eel looking thing out of the tank for sure , none the less. |
