Question Hitchhiker: Safe or No?

We found this little guy on the back glass this morning, he's about 1/4 inch across and doesn't appear to have a shell.

Thanks again!!!

He has a foot and a blob of a body, he is perfectly round when looking straight at him. Or at least he was! I tried to scoop him into a small butter dish to take him to the LFS for an ID and I squished him. I'll keep an eye out for more of them but that's the only one I've seen so far.
