The LFS advised me to not place the Orange monti directly under my light, so it is at an angle about 15" from the brightest point. The tips were orange with some polyps, but the white-red color and no tentacles had me worried. (you are most likely right however because it is not completely white  ) I hope its growth! I have been feeding every day, but I think the bottle says to feed weekly.
