Default green lookin worm

i dont have a pic yet but i just setup my 75 gallon and i got some live rock and one piece has these little green lookin worms that are connected to the rock they are about 1inch long im woundering if they are good or bad the rock is cured

HMM, I'm just guessing without a pic, but... you say they are connected to the rock? Some nemertean worms are green, but the only thing I can think of that would be connected to the rock, and appear wormlike, is this:

its looks like it pagojoe but its not white on the bottoms like ur pic

OK. That's Neomeris annulata, a fairly slow-growing species of calcareous algae. I don't know if some examples of this species, or even some related species, lack the white area at the base. Do yours move like worms, or are they stationary like some variety of algae might be?

K, I guess I'll have to wait for a pic if and see if I can help you on it. It sounds like some form of algae though, and I'd guess it wouldn't be a problem in your tank. Then again, I'm a snail guy, not an algae expert, so I'll gladly defer to the algae specialists if one of them pops by.
